Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is a primary health care profession that incorporates strength training, motor control, joint mobilisations and soft tissue including trigger point release.
Your treatment program will involve a complete and thorough assessment, “hands-on” treatment and a specific exercise regime tailored to your injury requirements. Our physiotherapists also run small group classes in Balance and Falls, and Strength and Conditioning.
Our physiotherapists are all members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA), the Sports Medicine Association (SMA) and are recognised providers with all major private health insurer allowing you to claim private health insurance rebates on the day of consultation (HICAPS).
Clincal Pilates
Pilates is a system of exercises that focuses on improving pelvic floor, deep abdominal and diaphragm muscle function. Together these muscle groups form your ‘core’. Pilates develops both strength and flexibility making it particularly effective in the prevention and treatment of spinal pain and postural syndromes and in the improvement of sporting performance.
Dry Needling
Dry needling involves the use of ultra fine-point needles to breakdown scar tissue and stimulate a healing response. Recent research has provided strong evidence that Dry Needling can be very beneficial in the breakdown and repair of myofascial trigger points.
Physiotherapy Exercise Prescription
Our physiotherapists are experienced in providing specific exercise regimes after injury, and also in progressing strength and endurance to return you to better fitness than before injury.
Myotherapy & Remedial Massage
Massage therapists are allied health professionals specialising in the treatment of muscular dysfunctions such as tension, aching and spasm. The therapy is aimed at relieving tension and muscle aches by using various techniques including: gliding, kneading, stretching, percussion and cupping.
